Rottweilers
L a u r a //x asked:

My friend has a Belgian Chocolate Dobermann and he is soo cute! He wouldn’t hurt a fly but people still feel threatened by him. Rottweilers are realy friendly too, I think it’s a shame people judge them just because of what they were bread for.

dog training
kinkeebug asked:

i’ve heard many times that training your dog with German commands is better and easier for the dog. some people claim that the intonation and pronunciation of German is somehow easier for dogs to “get”. is this true? i have a beautiful pitbull girl, who’s very sweet and an overall very good dog. she’s been acting up lately, chewed up a pillow, not coming when i call and not dropping her toy when i tell her too. any videos or websites anybody recommends? all genuine good advice is welcome and appreciated. thanx in advance!
thank you sooo much guys, i’ve got mixed responses but overall says german is better. i’ll try some tips you guys gave. if not, german it is. thanks again! wunderbar!

I want to get a dog from the Humane Society and will opt towards an easily trainable dog and/or one who is already trained. If he is already trained, what will I personally have to do to so he responds to me? Also, what exactly are the things I would train him? Basically, if he listens to me and can understand the commands, he will be able to understand most of what I want him to do, right?

For me it was (My Mum told me this when we were young)

You can’t give a dog chocolate because it can’t brush it’s teeth.

I have never given a dog chocolate because of this. Thank God, and I had no idea it could kill them. :)
I wonder how many generations that was passed down?

Dachshund
marigold asked:

I have a male mini dachshund and absolutely adore him! I think many breeds are awesome and adorable but have to say I’m biased when it comes to dachsies. I was wondering what other dachsie owners love most about the breed. I love that they’re so unique looking, are very loving, sweet tempered (at least with people they like) have adorable long faces and are playful and so loyal. I also like that they are stubborn and have such strong personalities. Thanks!

Chihuahuas
ade asked:

We recently aquired a female chihuahua and at first they were really wary of each other. Now they fight and play and he is always trying to hump her but we have not seen them actually doing it yet. We are hoping they will mate. They have become accustomed to each other and will now curl up together to sleep but I have not been able to tell if they have “done the deed” yet. Should I just take her to the vet and have her examined? How can I tell she was in heat and has been impregnanted?

Steve asked:

My gf’s chihuahua gave birth to three puppies about 5 weeks ago. We have been taking good care of them, but I am told they need their shots. What kind, how many, and how much should it cost? I suppose I am trying to get away with the bare minimum and the puppies still be ok.
