My dog is about 10 weeks old. She knows what ‘come’ means, she almost always listens. But sometimes, when she would rather keep ‘exploring’ something else, she flat out ignores me. What should i do when that happens? Go after her? Pick her up? i don’t want to screw up the training…
Also, she has a tendency to bark at me to demand attention, but at night i can’t ignore her because my parents make a fuss if she keeps barking. What can i do to keep her quiet but not teach her that she gets what she wants by barking?

We just bought a 10 week old Maltese a few days ago. We have a one and a half year old Golden Retriever and when we introduced them our Golden snapped at her a few times. Then the Maltese got near her bone and she almost bit her! The Maltese is only 2 pounds so if our Golden gets ahold of her she’ll be gone. How can I get my Golden Retriever to accept the new puppy or will it always be like this?

5 month old female German Shepherd – a great dog, very sweet and playful, but the only negative is that she occasionally takes nips at the kids. Playing, of course. Telling her off with “no!” doesn’t always work, as she perceives this as playing.

Any suggestions here?
