I have a poodle and she is like about two years old i think. We have been noticing that her stomach has been getting kind of big and she has been walking weird lately and been lazy so we’re guessing that she’s pregnant since we have a male poodle also. So I was wondering how long a poodle pregnancy last?? When is she going to have the puppies? And about how many puppies do they have?

It seems like the positive training methods only get you so far. It’s a great method to communicate with the dog – have him think and problem solve. But in presence of distractions and other temptations, it doesn’t necessarily instill reliable obedience.

Please suggest methods, advice, books or courses. Thanks!

I live in a sailboat and would love to have a dog. I heard the best breeds are golden retriever, labrador and portuguese water dog, but I’d prefer a smaller dog. Does anyone have a suggestion?

My 5 yr. old female Yorkie started slowing down in the past few months. She can’t jump up on anything anymore. Her gait started to get wobbly because her legs are shaky. When she goes potty she can’t bend them to a good stance because they buckle on her. My vet gave her cortisone but it hasn’t helped. The specialist wants to do a cat scan for 1500.00 but we can’t afford that. He says it’s definitely in her brain after we spent $850 on xrays, ultrasound, blood tests to rule everything else out. If we can’t find her some alternative help than he said she’ll have to be put down. They think its either brain tumor or enciphilitis or some type of viral incurable infection in her brain. She only weighs 6 lbs. and I can’t see subjecting her to anymore IV’s or a spinal tap as was suggested. If anyone can help with info of any kind I’d appreciate it. She is like our baby and we love her so very much. If necessary we will put her down to end her suffering. She’s not in any pain.

I currently live in the midwest, and I wouldn’t want to travel to the other side of the country. What would be good towns with a high flow of customers for a dog training facility?
I don’t really want to move away from the midwest. I’m a family oriented person, so I want to stay at least somewhat close to my relatives.
I’m currently in college working on getting an agricultural business degree. I have done a lot of training in the past, and am quite good at it. I absolutely am in it to help people and their pets, because I love dogs, (especially large breeds). I’m just wondering which towns would have a good market/would need a facility the most.

I’m looking to buy a nice leather collar for my cousin’s chubby beagle, who is about 35lbs and slightly larger than an average beagle. I don’t have any dogs myself so I don’t know what size I should get, so thanks for any help!
