I have a male rottweiler, he’s about 8 months old and I’m still feeding him Purina’s Beneful for Puppies. He’s beginning to get bored of the same food. But I heard that puppy food is for the nutrients and for the dogs to gain weight, I really wan my Rottie to gain more weight.

As our current doggie gets older, we want her to have a companion. We’re looking for a somewhat smaller dog, as our current dog is a adult-size black labrador retriever and is gigantic! My mom mentioned a “carpet dog”. Something small, adorable, with lots of hair. Any specific breeds?

When breeding Pugs and Beagles to create Puggles, does it matter which of the parents is the pug and which is the beagle?
Does the Pug always have to be female and the Beagle always male?
Not looking to Breed, just wanted to answer a curiosity question. I don’t need to be bashed, because I am asking a question about a mixbreed dog. I’m sorry about all your puritans out there… but i’m simply asking a question… I thought that’s what this place was for!!!!

The neighbor’s dog (a 4? year old boxer) always watches my car as I drive by. She even runs to the other side of the car in her driveway as I pass, so she can keep watching. So I thought she was curious about me.

But I’ve walked up the driveway to pet her sometimes. Although she takes a few steps towards me, as I approach she puts her ears down and tries to make herself look small. She won’t look me in the eyes. She lets me pet her, though.

What’s up with this dog? I thought I was paying her a little attention that would help her be less bored, tied up in the driveway. Why is she afraid of me? Another neighbor walking his two pug dogs walks up the driveway and pets her, and she goes crazy.
Thank you for your answers.
I want to reassure everyone that she’s not out there all day, just for a time to give her some fresh air. Usually her family is also out in the yard while she’s out.

How do you know if your dog is pregnant? Other than the obvious weight gain, and fattening up? MY dog just came out of heat and now a week later her nipples are so poped out it is not even funny….any advice? what are the signs?
just to confirm, my dog is skinny. the only thing ive noticed is her huge nipples. if she was pregnant, when would I notice?
Kipps Mom – what does this mean?
“So you obviously saw her tie, right?” I dont understand… anyone?
