What is a reasonable a temperature for a dog to have be indoors in a harsh weather environment?

I have a girl beagle who will be going into her first heat soon. What can I expect?

I have an 8 month old beagle who will be going into heat. When can I expect her to start, how long will it last, and what can I expect while she is in heat? She and my other boy beagle stay in a dog pin outside during the day, but are with us at night and sleep in the bed. It’s going to be hard to keep them separated and it’s going to be sad for me when she can no longer sleep in the bed with us. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks!
