I’d like to purchase a 12 week old Pomeranian puppy, but I’m very nervous about my 4 year old male persian cat. He is a great cat & loving. But we’ve spoiled him with so much attention, that I’m afraid he may become jealous of a new “male” Pomeranian puppy we’d like to buy. How shall I introduce them? Does anyone know a little about Pomeranians?

What brush should i use to brush my 8 week old rottweiler puppy? Should i brush it every day and does it help it not to smell? I haven’t actually got him yet but want to be prepared.

I am adopting 2 little pug dogs and need to crate train them. They are a year and a half old and have always lived together. Do I get one cage that they can both fit in? or two crates and set them side by side?

Well my grandmother 59 and she has been a widow for 4 years. Anyway she really wants some company and she wants a poodle dog. So I am wondering is a poodle good for older people?

Apparantly she’s asked some others and they said no (most of the people she knows are single and working full time). If I dont take this dog, she will be going to the pound. And honestly, I wont be able to sleep at night wondering if she was euthanized or not.

Heres the thing, I have a 9 month old labrador retriever, I work from my home and financially am very capable, but, I know nothing about this breed. Can anyone give me some information? I’ve heard their similiar to labs personality wise but Ive never owned one.

Thanks
Oh thank you Mimi, you just reminded me that I forgot to add that Id like intelligent responses only.

I have a dog and I’m not really sure of the breed, but I think she’s a bird dog. She’s a great dog with me, my wife and our 3 kids.

I enjoy playing rough with her. We wrestle on the ground and she will growl very loudly and wrestle back. She will mock bite me, never biting down or anything, but she’ll get my arm or hand in her mouth. She never gets near my face.

I think this rough play freaks my wife out because the dog gets really aggressive, even though it’s still obviously play. She’ll growl and bark, but all I have to do is hold my palms out and say “Brook, Calm” and she’ll calm down. Her tail is wagging the whole time during this rough play and she has never hurt me.

Lately, her growling is getting louder, but I just attribute it to the fact that she’s comfortable with the play, not because she’s getting more aggressive or anything.

Anyway, would a dog trainer say that this is dangerous or foolhardy? I’d hate to be training her by doing this and putting my family at risk.

I know the obvious benefits of neutering but I’m wondering if neutering an 8 month old golden retriever will realistically improve their over all behavior like making them easier to walk, destroy less things around the house, etc. I can picture getting him neutered and having the exact same issues. Thanks

Do you know any dog training websites?
I’m also wondering if there are any websites with high-quality clips/videos on training. I’m taking a class soon and I am interested in getting a head start.
