Is there anything out there that will take care of my dog’s fleas and ticks? Please don’t tell me frontline or advantage, they are so expensive it’s crazy I would have to pay $145 for one years worth. That’s crazy to have to pay that much money. Anyways, is there an alternative that someone out there knows about that costs much less? Thank you very much…

Is there a problem with fleas or ticks in the central California region; places like Monterey, Carmel, Salinas, etc? Would a dog need some kind of preventative, like Advantage or Frontline? Not all parts of the USA have noticeable flea and tick problems, so please don’t assume that “fleas live everywhere”. Thank you.

dog fleas ticks

My dog scratches herself a lot which is relatively normal but she also does the little grooming thing when she bites her fur to clean it. She has been doing a lot of both and they’re both normal but i’ve heard that when they do the biting and scratching thing they might also have fleas or ticks. how do i know the difference? also i put repellent on her every month but im not sure if i did it exactly right. how do i know if my doggy has fleas or ticks or if shes just grooming herself as usual?
the repellent is from the vet: k9 advantix

My dog has ticks and fleas and I was told I need to buy a tick/flea product which I did(k9 advantix, I already tried frontline and advantage) and also I have to use a defogger in my house, what is the best brand that will kill the ticks and fleas without being harmful to my malti-pom(maltese-pomeranian- 7-8 lbs).

I’ve tried Advantage, spray my house at least once a week, have sprayed the yard several times and put out granules, bathe my dog with flea and tick shampoo, she has a flea collar, and she still gets fleas within a couple of days. This is getting ridiculous. What else should I be doing? Should I just call a professional to come spray and see if that helps? Or is she just going to have to live with fthe fleas?

dog fleas ticks
simplelife76 asked:

i have a 4 months old young puppy. he was a breed from pekingnese and german sherpard dog ( i dont know how they marry but i know i just have it from my neighbour’s friend.)
how to keep it free from flea/ticks ? i am not letting him get into my house and i have a very big grassy yard, i dont want him pee or poop in my house.
as i know and listen form other people said tt having grassy yard means luring the ticks. so what kind of prevention i can do on my dog to keep him free from flea attack? esp those big sucking blood fleas?
is shampoo enough? tick powder? i dont want to spend my time picking his tick or let those fleas entering my pouch or living room. please advise
some say just pouring some olive oil on his fur.. will it work? what will olive oil leave on his fur later? will his hur still smooth and tender?
