I have a 5 year old black labrador retriever named Sasha. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. My wife and I just got a new puppy, weimerwiner named Bella, about 7 months ago. Since then Sasha has developed aggressive behavior towards some, not all, other dogs and people. She was always the sweetest dog in the world until just recently (3 months).

Sasha is still great around people she knows, it just seems to be new people and new dogs. I figured she’s just beeing protective of Bella but knowing Sasha’s reactions to Bella I do not think that is the case. Bella wants to constantly play all day and Sasha would rather lay around all day and you can tell in Sasha’s eyes that she isn’t to fond of Bella.

If anyone has any ideas or methods on how to fix this aggressive behavior please inform me!

I have Labrador Retrievers who will even sneak up behind me, in order to shake water off of themselves, onto me, especially if I have good pants on…
After a long slobbery drink, I always thought that a drive-by licking was obligatory, just so can dry their wet jowls on our dry skin or clothes…

Perhaps they shake their wet mud or water on us, because we’re looking a bit warm, and a nice little shower just might cool us off?

I have a German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow mix puppy. He gets pretty hyper, and he’s almost 10 months now. I think it’s time to start training him and teach him to behave. Before I get started though, I wanted to get some information before I approach him or do something. So I can train him the best way possible.
Thanks

Recently I received a 7 week old labrador retriever.
Do I need to brush her teeth? If so, then how do you brush them?
Are there any alternatives to brushing?
Is it absolutely necessary to brush them when they’re adults?
Help is gladly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Ok I have an 11 month old German Shephered, Labrador Retriever, and Chow Chow mix puppy. He is way too hyper and a little too difficult to train. He has a neutering appointment this Friday morning at 8. I told him this nice and slow, and about neutering, he was fine till I finished, he immediatley put his head down and gave me a sad look. Did he understand me?

I am 15 years old and I have to take complete care of our familys Labrador Retriever. I volunteered to take complete care of her 2 years ago(once i matured)…so it is really my choice.

But, now my Mom has a bad back and cant get out much, my dad works in Alaska for 2 weeks and then comes back for 2 weeks, and my sister is 9. So now I really HAVE to. My parents are getting old and frail. *smirks* =) So NO answers like, just have your parents chip in.

QUESTION::: I walk my dog 3 miles a day, but now I am so busy with school. I still do…but my grades are starting to slip because of it(takes me a long time). I tried taking her on a 3 mile bike ride(she ran beside me) but its SO hot out that she is misserable. Thing is I need my excercize too. HOW CAN WE BOTH GET EXCERCIZE AT THE SAME TIME????
shes 4 years old.
Kelli….I almost got held back last year….and I have in F in Biology. Look, I really dont want to fail school. Thats why I asked this question.

I was only planning on adopting one puppy, but I have ended up agreeing to take 2. They are 10 week old labrador retriever puppies from the same litter, they are both males. They were breed by a mom and pop breeder, and when it turned out the dad didn’t have official paperwork, and they couldn’t sell them as pure bread, they abandoned the whole litter. The shelter I am adopting them from has a ton of puppies right now, and had no room for any more puppies. Because of this, the 2 puppies I am adopting are not technically living at the shelter, but at a shelter where the are euthanized after a period of time. I found out that which ever puppy I didn’t adopt was going to be put to sleep, so I agreed to take both and they gave me the second one for free. I am a little worried because I’ve heard 2 pups are hard to handle. And I also have a 10 year old black labrador (girl), who is very healthy and still acts like a pup.

Did I make the right decision? Or was agreeing to take both a mistake?
