Can he play catch at all? I'd start out real small at first.. Just rolls the ball to him an d when he get it make a really big fuss and give him a treat. He doesn't have to bring it to you at first but if he just puts it in his mouth than just go nuts, oh quietly so you don't want to scare him. You can just roll it to him in the house too in a hall way. Takes time and patients to get them to retrieve. Think small steps first to the bigest one ok. Well first does he even like the ball?
