Sit Stay Fetch, Good Dog!

Hi,

How much exercise is enough depends on your dog's age, breed, and health. Most dogs need 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day.

Check this out for more info:

Dog Food Secrets!

Well it is best to have a slow stroll that is calm (no pulling or spazzing from the dog) for at least 45 min. This will help them with their growth and they will be more disciplined and will mind more. However, it really depends. If you are walking the dog just so it should go to the bathroom like before work, it really doesn't matter how long as long as it goes and as long as it gets its exercise later. With smaller dogs its okay to shave a good 15-20 minutes off that 45. So really 20 minutes is fine, i know that's hard ( i have a chihuahua) but it needs to be done. The more they sit around, whether they are getting fat or not, their muscles are deteriorating and dissolving, their discipline worsens and your bond with the animal is lessened. If you do not have the energy to just walk for 20 minutes, try a dog park where the dog can run around with others while you sit. You can also trying jogging for 10-15 minutes, ride a bike with them by your side (don't roll over your little one, better for bigger dogs) or ride roller blades this way. These alternatives will give the same or more exercises in a short amount of time, and they're fun.

Sit Stay Fetch, Good Dog!

I have a doxie mix and she gets tired on walks before my other dogs do. She will start to sit or slow down. When this happens I know she is too tired to continue and I carry her the rest of the way home. It will just depend on the dog, there is not specific time or distance, just watch for your dog to let you know. : )

Start a Doggie Daycare

Sounds Adorable! It depends on her age? 15 min. to start then add 5min. little by little. If you need to walk her all at once. It is easier on their joints if you can take them on several short walks a day. Best Of Luck! May you have many happy and healthy years with you Fur-Baby

thats cute by the way! i looked at that breed! but if i were u just test it. take her up and down ur street and see how shes doing. is shes not panting to hard then the next day try for a longer one. if u ever find she breathing to hard after a long walk just pick her up and carry her back. id guess ud probably never be able to go longer than a mile though
