And out of the three (red, apricot and cream) what is your favorite and why. If you do not know what they look like look it up on google images.

If the red is your favorite color, I think you should consider getting a red one. I’m not really a big fan of poodles but if I had to choose based on color alone, I would say white.

I like the red-colored poodles the best. Apricot and cream poodles tend to show dirt more but a red poodle looks clean even when it isn’t. Also, a red poodle always stands out and are unique because apricot and cream poodles are almost as common as white ones. A special color for a special dog is what you’ll want.

I would chose the one with the best personality to fit your lifestyle, and not be as concerned about color, as long as the breeder is reputable and has tested the parents of the litter via OFA, Vetgen, and CERF for problems. A very respected breeder friend of mine said, “As long and the roof doesn’t leak, the walls keep the draft out, and there’s no termites, who cares what color you paint the house?” This means, when applied to dogs as she intended, as long as the dog is healthy and mentally sound, what does it matter if it is brown or black or blue?

Red is a nice color and it won’t show dirt as much as the lighter colors, especially around the eyes where they have a tendency to get the dark circles.

I like the red. I have a red Standard Poodle. Everyone comments on how beautiful she is. I have a website all about Standard Poodles, which most of the information also applies to any of the poodles. Check it out, it might help.

if you really want red, than it really is your choice! Go ahead and get red! But remember to do your “puppy homework” before you get a dog. A dog is a big responsibility, make sure you research the red poodle and find out if red poodles are the healthiest normally out of the 3 colors and etc. make sure you are up for the challenge! Good luck! Also, make sure to love your dog! Have fun!!!!!

I LOVE poodles! They are really smart and funny dogs!
The brown, red, and apricot poodles tend to lose their coat pigment earlier. So, your dog might only be 4, but she might have a white face.
The cream poodles show dirt a lot easier. A dirty dog is never attractive.
I personally LOVE the silver and the black. The black will show grey eventually, but not as quickly as the apricots, reds, and browns. And the silvers will hide the grey very well, because they are already grey!
Now, decide that you are willing to live with! If you want an apricot and a white face doesn’t bother you, get an apricot! Good luck with your poodle!
