yes they will be good birddogs.  They are great at both flushing game for you and for retreiving it (hence the name)  They aren&#039;t great pointers, but then that isn&#039;t what they are supposed to be.</description>

Yes a golden retriever is a good hunting dog! Hence the name retriever. I actually think that they were bred to hunt. Get a good trainer.</description>

Yeah they are good listeners and great retrievers (hence the name). Females are easier to train than males. Not sure why though =^(
They are bred for upland game like pheasants, ruffed grouse, and waterfowl.</description>
