<a href="hhttp://nicherich.sitstay.hop.clickbank.net/">Sit Stay Fetch, Good Dog!</a>

Illinois is rated by rescue groups as a third-level State for puppy-milling, but is right next to 2 of the 6 first-level (=worst) States for that - Iowa and Missouri - and Kentucky is a second-level State. So anything is possible, especially if you got no "papers".
However, most of the alleged "wolf-dogs" have such a low content of wolf genes that it is effectively non-existent, and those dogs are sold at inflated prices to attract the macho suckers who think that having a tame "wolf" makes them special. If you still think he has significant wolf content once he is adult, send photos to the member of my groups who runs a wolf-dog sanctuary (no, HER stock is not for sale!).

Your description of him as having a narrow face indicates that he is probably of All-American lines, especially the deviations we sneeringly refer to as "NAmerican Ski-Slope Dogs" and "Coyote Dogs". A genuine wolf has a POWERFUL head, not a refined one. The skull, and especially the jaws and the size of the teeth, is one of the most useful ways to distinguish between a wolf and a domestic dog.

The barking indicates that you should not have accepted him - it's an indication of fear, and trying to make you go away and stop scaring him. He goes to the GR for protection. You will need to do a LOT of reward-based training and a LOT of quiet on-lead socialisation to get him used to the wider world, but until 2 weeks after his 16 weeks booster shots keep him away from places where dogs piddle/poo/vomit.

All correctly-coated, correctly-eared, correctly-proportioned GSDs - especially the gray-sable GSDs - resemble wolves. Not surprising - the main foundation stud (born 1896) had a wolf or a wolf-cross as his grandmother, and the sables in our breed are the result of the A^w (wolf-sable) pattern allele, not of the A^y (yellow-brown sable) pattern allele found in such as Collies and American Cockers.

To get knowledgeable information about GSDs you should be a member of your nearest GSD club plus a couple of the 300+ YahooGroups dedicated to various aspects of living with GSDs. The groups make it easy for you to show people photos of your pet.

"lilcslil...":
I can guarantee that your aunt's pooch had almost no wolf genes. Wolf attitudes and behaviours are NOT suitable for a household pet. The yellow eyes are characteristic of certain genes for coat-colour; most probably he was d^ d^ in the Dilute gene series, which produces a coat effect referred to as "blue", and is accompanied by light eyes plus gray eye-rims, gray nose & lips, and gray pads.

<a href="http://nicherich.cee123.hop.clickbank.net/">Dove Cresswells Dog Training</a>

there are people that do breed wolfdogs and they bred them all around the united states but some states you can't have them and if you have one you have to say its a german sheperd mixed cause if not they can fine you and take your dog away from you. they do make great pets my aunt used to have a wolfdog and she was a good dog. but her fur was soft and she had yellow eyes like a wolf. every state is different in ohio you can have a bobcat and a wolf but in PA you can't its the law.... people that breed them can't really tell you that they are mixed with a wolf cause they might be able to get in to trouble.

Funny, just this weekend my brother-in-law was telling me about a friend of his who has a shepherd-wolf mix. Coincidently, we both live in the Chicago suburbs. I'm not sure, but I think his friend lives in IL, too.
