Maybe discuss a calming medication with your vet if you don't think they will relax well together. My mom had a malamute and i had a cairn terrier . when we left they were in two seperate crates ,when we went to pick them up they were in one crate and they were covered in vomit and feces !!!. we immediately took them to the vet because they kept coughing . we found out that somehow they ingested something that had made them violently ill and as a result both my dog and my moms dog had to be euthanized because of the way the airline treated them . My mom and I have a pending lawsuit against the airline . That is why I say never fly with animals . It endangers their health . Check with the airline though to be sure. It must fit under the seat. That is a requirement so make sure you have the right size carrier and they both fit comfortably.
