If you bred her you should know.
Unless you’re not really a breeder..no..it couldn’t be..

between 6-12. And about 1/2 of them will end up in the shelter. Congrats! And really, you should already know this, along with knowing that once they are born you will need to have them all X-rayed to gaurantee their hips and have their eyes checked. Be prepaired to spend at least $200 on each dog. If you don’t do this you are considered a back yard breeder. That means you are irresponcible

There really isn’t a deffinant answer but my golden retriever had nine puppies last month. My cousin also has one and hers was pregnant about a year ago and it had eleven puppies. It normally varies based on the dogs weight and general size.

After about 45 days take your dog to the vet so they can take x-rays to determine how many there are, how big they are, and if they look healthy and developing well!
But I breed my AKC golden and she has 7 in litter this past August, and 9 in her first litter in January of last year goldens are really wonderful first time moms but keep an eye on them but it is really critical that you get her x-rays to see how many pups are inside her because if you count them on the x-ray and she doesn’t have all the pups the vet counted on the x-ray there maybe a pup or two still inside of her and it might be stuck and you wouldn’t even know it so get her x-rayed after 45 days into her pregnancy to estimate how many pups.
Also after they are born within the first 24-48 hours take momma dog and puppies to the vet for an examination to make sure the whole family is okay
Also vet bills will be very high if you are really a dedicated breeder, than you will pay to get all their shot, dewormings, and daily examinations by a licienced vet, this would cost about $600 per puppy until they are 8 weeks make sure everything is checked on them their eyes, hips, and even test their blood it costs alot but this is the world of breeder it costs lots to make sure your pups have the best!
Good luck!

1-14 or so. At around 50 days, an X-ray or ultra-sound can be done to determine how many there are. Prior to that, the vet can feel for pups after they develop a bit but that is not at all accurate.

There really is no set number, just a range. Since this is her first pregnancy, if she is still pretty young, she may only have 4-8.
