huh i wanted a sporting dog apperently i got a non sporting dog my Standerd poodle pup GG i wonder if i can raise her to become a sporting dog a Sporting poodle afterall they still have there hunting abbilities (what use are they if there not even gonna be used?) and they are still quite exeptional swimmers (she loves water but not if it includes Soap and bubbles ^_^)

As quoted by AKC Standards “Spots are round and well-defined, the more distinct the better. They vary from the size of a dime to the size of a half-dollar. They are pleasingly and evenly distributed. The less the spots intermingle the better. Spots are usually smaller on the head, legs and tail than on the body. Ears are preferably spotted.” Hahaha little do you know about dalmatians.

I agree! I know that dog he is a very good example of the breed. He was in the Top 20 at the Dalmatian Club of Amereica. He and all of the other Top 20 Dalmatians represent the breed very well! I think! Oh and THANK you for spelling DalmatiAn the correct way!

yes, standard poodles are in the non-sporting group. However, they used to be in the sporting and were used for hunting bird game.
