Kelly S asked:
My female dog, Macy, is a little over 3 years old. She goes out back in our yard and kills bunnies… mostly babies b/c they are easier to catch. My husband says we shouldn’t chastise her b/c it’s “nature” but I don’t like the idea of constantly discovering dead bunnies in my yard. Any thoughts? Should we train her not to do this? Or is there some way to deter the bunnies from my back yard in the first place? Thanks for any help!
I forgot to say what kind of dog it is, but I’m not sure it’s relevant… she’s a mutt but mostly black lab.

I recently got a toy
poodle approx. 2 months ago. He is 3 years old. He was potty trained by his previous owner and he was doing really good when we first got him about not going pee inside the house. Now almost everytime I turn around he has peed in some part of the house. I am stern with him and I tell him no and show him that he is not supposed to go there. But I am not sure what the problem is. I take him out more than enough and sometimes he even pees inside right after we have come home from his walks. Any idean on what might be going on?

Anonymous asked: If i end up getting the
golden retriever i had mentioned in another post, how would i go about potty training her?, she is 3 years old so it may take longer, and since she was a stray they know nothing of her background at the shelter, so who knows if her previous owners( if any) had her already potty trained or not, and in the kennels where she’s at, the floors the dogs sleep on are their bathrooms, so who knows what She thinks a bathroom is and isn’t..
Any tips on potty training a 3 year old dog?
i’ve never tried to potty train a 3 year old before so i’m not sure what to expect…will it be just like a puppy? including all the messes along with it?
Thanks

GK asked: I’ve tried everything. My
beagle is 3 years old. I never can catch him in the act. Is there something I can spray to keep him from peeing in the same area?

?A? asked: We have had my dog for almost 3 years now and we had the cat before we got the dog. My dog never leaves the cat alone. We have to keep the cat’s litter box behind a chair in the living room because he is too scared to leave the room and go to the bathroom because the dog pins him to the floor whenever he moves in the dog’s sight. Even when my cat is just sitting on a chair sleeping my dog will go over to it and bite it or hit it with it’s paw. How do I make my dog leave my cat alone? We have had this problem for almost 3 years now and nothing we do works. My cat should be able to roam the house freely just like everyone else but he cant. He has to wait until the dog is asleep just to walk around or go eat.
We do yell at her every time she does it. We do hit her whenever she bites the cat and we can’t seperate them.
My dog is not playing when he does this to my cat. He really bites and hits the cat. He also barks and growls at the cat. You can tell my dog is not happy and playful when she does this. She sometimes puts her whole body on top of the cat and pins the cat down to the floor and then puts the cats whole head inside her mouth.

Aimee B asked: I have recently had a litter of 6 vibrant, healthy and plump little French
Bulldog puppies after mating my Ellie (3 years old) to E-Jay (1 year 5 months old). This was my first litter of puppies ever. My dogs weren’t tested for anything and aren’t Champions but Ellie and Kaylie’s parents are both AKC Champs (they are sisters) and E-Jay has a Grand Champion father. Also, all their generations were tested for genetics.
I have NO idea how to find a good, worthy puppy buyer for all my puppies. I would be willing to keep a few but I really want to sell them all. Any suggestions?
After confirming with my vet, there are 3 males and 3 females in her litter – all black and white.
I don’t want any of my puppies going to bad, unworthy homes so how can I find a good owner for them all? I have set the price at $1700 for females and $1300 for males but this may change as they grow. They are AKC registered, vet checked, wormed, microchipped and are currently a week old.
Thanks.
Oh and don’t worry. I am not selling them yet, I just want to take deposits so I have homes lined up when they are older. I plan to sell them after they are 9 weeks old.
Basically all I want is the new puppy buyer to be worthy, loving, able to afford and care for a puppy forever. They must know things about the breed and must be willing to fix their pups before 12 months old unless I decide that they can breed them.

emillielyy asked: I have a male maltese mixed, 1 1/2 years old at home and recently adopted a new dog, a 3 years old male shih tzu. The problem is, the shih tzu basically does not get along with all dogs, not just my current maltese mixed. He’ll growl whenever a dog comes near him and even attempt to attack and bite other dogs. Since he is a rescued dog, I do not have any information of his past. He marks very often though I’ve tried to correct him many times.
How do teach him to be calmed and submissive when he’s around with other dogs?
