My son wants to get a dog, and he is very responsible and i can pay for it. He is very athletic, and would like a dog that he could jog with. He also wants a dog who can be mostly his dog, even though it would be living with a family of 7. He was thinking a lab or a boxer. Any suggestions?

Please answer even if you just want to suggest something that has already been suggested. I want to see the most popular breed.

We live in PA, have a 1 1/2 year old great tempered pure bred Boxer, AKC registered, neutered, up to date with shots. Great with kids and very friendly. We need find him a new home. He is free to a good family that can give him the time our family can no longer. We love him but have his best interets at heart. He has to spend to much alone time and that is not fair to him. Help if you can be the new loving family this dog needs.

My 5 month old boxer/eskimo cross is by most standards an excellent, well mannered dog. The only habit I wish he’d curb is not letting me relax now and then. If I’m sitting on the couch or trying to catch some early morning Z’s (after walking him of course) he will whine and bark for attention. Only relenting once I get up and keep him busy with a toy, chew bone or take him out.

Does anyone have any tips on getting through to him when it is me time?

I have a boxer that is 5 years old he is a pretty healthy dog no signs of any type of illness but usually after he eats, like 10 minutes later he will go into the corner and throw up.I feed him dry/wet dog food, and when he is good ill give him people food. Am I doing something wrong in the way I feed him or is he just sick..? What could I do?

The neighbor’s dog (a 4? year old boxer) always watches my car as I drive by. She even runs to the other side of the car in her driveway as I pass, so she can keep watching. So I thought she was curious about me.

But I’ve walked up the driveway to pet her sometimes. Although she takes a few steps towards me, as I approach she puts her ears down and tries to make herself look small. She won’t look me in the eyes. She lets me pet her, though.

What’s up with this dog? I thought I was paying her a little attention that would help her be less bored, tied up in the driveway. Why is she afraid of me? Another neighbor walking his two pug dogs walks up the driveway and pets her, and she goes crazy.
Thank you for your answers.
I want to reassure everyone that she’s not out there all day, just for a time to give her some fresh air. Usually her family is also out in the yard while she’s out.
