dog fleas ticks
Csai asked:

A year ago my dog brought home fleas and ticks. They bit me for about 5 months before we could get rid of them. But now I have all these red dots that look like chicken pox or something, they look really bad. What’s an inexpensive way to make them go away without laser surgery?

I’m not complaining, I’ve just never had a dog that didn’t. She is a Siberian Husky mix. Since I’ve never had a husky before I thought it might be something unique to the breed.

But i once heard someone said that if your dog has black spots on her body, that means she has fleas/ticks, well I already sprayed her after her shower with this insecticide I got at the pet shop but I can’t help but worry that will it work? How long does it take to work and how does it work? I’m so scared and I don’t want my miniature poodle to have fleas, thanks in advance and please help.

I just pulled some type of bug off her face-it was embedded there and there seems to be another one on his ear.

I am looking for ways that I can get rid of my pets’ fleas and ticks. With the heavy rain that we have had in TX the fleas and ticks seem to be out if force. They have since infested my outside dog. He is perfectly happy staying outside so he refuses to come in. My daughter and I noticed the other day that ticks have attacked him. He’s rather large and sometimes rowdy so he doesn’t like to stay still long enough for me to take them off. Since I have to bath him outside I need something that I can put together from house hold ingredients and/or that won’t make my dog or his area sick. I have the same problem, minus the ticks, with my indoor cats. Any help would be really appreciated.

im almost 21 weeks pregnant and i think my dog has them…..he’s been itching a lot more the last few days and i just talked to my mom about it and she says she hasnt given him his tick and flea medication for a few months because she is an irresponsible non thinking retard.

could this have a bad effect of my baby in any way?? we’re going to get the meds today….but what about the house and stuff?
i mean while im pregnant…obviously we are going to rid him of it if he has anything….but right now the damage is already done if he has them…so could it be bad?

I take my german shepherd every once in a while to play with an american bulldog. The american bulldog’s owner told me that her dog stayed itching himself all night long after it played with my dog. My dog is free from fleas & ticks. The other dog is also free from fleas & ticks. Someone mentioned dogs can be allergic to other dogs coats. Is this possible?

Can my dog get fleas/ticks just by walking around the block? There are other dogs in the area (all owned, no strays), he’d be walking on the sidewalk and possibly through other people’s yards.

I have noticed when I go out and play with my dog me & him are getting ate up by mosquitos. I want to get a spray I can spray on him so none of those bugs bite him.
