I am in a dilema as to get a shih tzu or a maltese i need a very friendly dog who will also fit in with my family.It would not be left for long period of time and preferably i would prefer it if it didnt mault. If can reccommend any dogs aswell? However they muct be small dogs.

Is it true that it is not good to breed a red dachshund female with a red dachshund male?

I just spoke to a woman dachshund breeder who told me not to breed my two red dachshunds, because it will dull there color, and that I should get a black and brown dachshund to breed good colored coats??? Confused, because my vet never told me anything about red dachshund having any problems breeding? I have done some research about breeding my two dachshunds, and have not hears of this sort of problem? I would like to know if anyone has heard of this sort of thing with the dachshunds…. Thank You
