They are both old enough to be fixed, you should make appts. for them now. Even if nothing happens now, it is bound to if you don’t take care of it.

Male dogs are able to get a females pregnant at six months old, it is a good idea to think of getting him fixed…this will prevent a lot of problems like fighting other dogs, not speaking of disease and prostate problems later when he gets older. Hope this helps you.

At this age, he is establishing his dominance over her…he will start producing active sperm in about 2 months. I would seriously take them both in to be fixed….we really don’t need anymore puppies in the world, and you would be helping them in the process. Spaying your female helps prevent mammory cancer, and neutering your male helps prevent testicular cancer.

Yes. Even if you stop them immediately your female could still get pregnant. Make an appointment to spay and neuter, respectively, both dogs.
