Lala asked:
What is a breed you could mix a bulldog with that keeps it looking like a bulldog and at the same time keeps it puppy size? Or at least smaller than it’s normal size?

They breed small / undersized to other small dogs. Destroys the health and everything else.. but they are small… Of course tho, given that the dogs are meant to be big.. You can not guarantee that if you bred your small dog to another small dog that they would all be small puppies, there is going to be that huge one that is born.. hopefully he doesn’t get stuck in the birth canal and kill the whole lot of them..

If you want a small bulldog why don’t you just get a French bulldog or pug. You can find one at your local animal shelter. Or you can find a cute bulldog mix at your local animal shelter.

Why not just go find a French Bulldog?
Or go find a loveable mutt instead of trying to create one yourself-it isnt predictable, what are you going to do if they all turn out differently than you wanted?

The only thing is to breed with a bulldog…breeding with anything else will be a mixed breed and there is no guarantee what the pups will look like. I highly recommend you have your bulldog spayed and leave the breeding to the people who know what they are doing.

I don’t know anything about mixing dogs and by what DP said my answer will probably be very bad. How about a chiwawa? Or a Yorkie? Those are veeery small.

Um, in this case, I don’t suggest breeding. There is no way this could turn out well. I’m completely against backyard breeding and designer dogs.
I suggest getting a French Bulldog or a Boston Terrier. They’re both smaller than Bulldogs, and you can buy one from a reputable breeder without worries.

If this is for curiosity: Pug? Boston Terrier? French Bulldog? Not sure. If this is for breeding, don’t breed your dog! There are already too many mutts, strays, and homeless dogs in shelters. Don’t add to the population. Spay/neuter your dog.

Pug is the best bet because it has a pushed in face like the english bulldog. Most other breeds elongate the face which destroys the distinctive features of the english bulldog breed.
Unfortunately, when you breed a pug/english bulldog mix then you get a lot of puppies that just look like pugs. So to really breed down dogs that look like miniature bulldogs would probably take generations.

A boston bulldog, pug, or a frenchie would work. You want the short nose and body with the dwarf leg appearance.

French Bulldog , Mini. Bulldog , pug or Boston Terrier those are the only ones i can come up with . Because those are the only types of dogs than can actually mix with a bulldog and still be small .
