Bulldogs are expensive. If you find a bulldog under $1500, chances are there is something wrong. Also, if you are getting male and female to breed, please don't. If you are looking for a cheap bulldog, you deffinately can't afford the care that goes with breeding. Bulldogs are a very special breed and you need to know everything you can about them. I have owned bulldogs for 6 years and started breeding last year after doing A LOT of research. They are not just two dogs you can put together and wait for puppies. They have to be artificially inseminated at least twice and they need c-sections. DO NOT let your dog attempt to whelp them on her own. You will be very sorry when lose the pups and the mom. Then you have to get up every 2 hours to let them nurse because they can't be left with the mom. She will smother them because she doesn't realize they are there. You seriously need to rethink what you are doing. You will not find a health bulldog for a reasonable price. Bulldogs are expensive. As the owner of one very loving huge Bulldog puppy...it is the financial equivalent of raising a child. English Bulldogs are very expensive to care for and if you get a reasonably priced bulldog from a non-breeder or where ever chances are you will be getting yourself into whole mess of vet bills.. Bulldogs require a lot of space, a lot of food (often prescription or speciality brand), special shampoo for skin problems, you have to wash their folds constantly so it doesn't get infected, some have eye problems and require surgery, shots, and this only the begining.... English Bulldogs are very expensive to care for and if you get a reasonably priced bulldog from a non-breeder or where ever chances are you will be getting yourself into whole mess of vet bills..

Do you have enough time to train a puppy? Will you be able to afford vaccines, deworming, other health problems? Responsible breeders will sell their puppies with limited papers meaning you will not be able to register any puppies. Some will also make you sign a contract saying you will not breed. Also, no female should be bred until they are at least two. Please make sure you know that most bulldogs will need a c-section when it's time to give birth. If you're breeding just for what little money you get out of it, it's not worth it. You put out way more then you take in You should also give any puppies at least the first two sets of vaccines and deworming before they go off to their new home. Make sure you screen any potential new puppy owners very throughly. Speak with your vet before you even consider mating just to make sure she's healthy enough. Speak with other breeders for any advise they're willing to give. Listen, and understand that if the puppies do not find homes, you will be stuck with a litter of pups.
