Enjoyed the great pics of your dog, Phil. he is a doozie. Although perhaps more handsome than many show quality labs, he is not quite correct to breed standards. His build is more angular, and his coat is too slick according to the AKC standards.
So, you might run an ad in the paper, pin up a card at your local pet supplies, and feed stores. Try a card at your local grooming shops. It would help to have a pic of him on your cards. I would suggest the standard index card, with a small pic glued on it.
Typically the stud owner asks the price of one puppy.
Be sure to require all females to be tested for brucelosis, as this is a common STD in dogs used for breeding. If your dog becomes infected, it will end his career, as it causes females to abort all babies.
If you want to compare, and see what I was talking about as breed standard, take a look at these champions>>:&tbnh=81&tbnw=108&hl=en&start=10&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dchampion%2Bchocolate%2Blabrador%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official_s%26sa%3DG

I would check with your local breed club. However, please keep in mind that there are millions of unwanted dogs already. I’m no expert on Labs, but the person that posted above me seems to be. If your dog isn’t to breed standard, don’t breed him. Beautiful he is, but the goal of a breeder should be to make dogs that are as close to perfect as possible. Far too many people breed their dogs because they love them and want to have more dogs like them. Please don’t take this as any sort of insult. I’m just reminding you that most dogs should be spayed or neutered. :)

Well personally, you need to know where the puppies are going to go if you breed him, because in the states 164 (Europe has 60 come in everyday day usually)come into the shelter each day and they only give them 6 working days to be claimed or adopted and if not…they are killed.
But if you do know where the puppies are going to go and the people you are giving them to will keep them, then you could put him up for stud in the papers and online.
