Mrs.Edward Anthony Masen-Cullen asked:
My grandma has a Pit and a Rot the shitsu is more evil. Well unless they don’t know you or trust you that is.
I know its not dogs fault if its mean, its the owners fault. Also, all my cousins have learned to walk by grabbing a pitbulls ear and sticking their hand in his mouth. He just tried to walk away wimpering, It was so cute!!

bad owners give them a bad reputation, and people who don’t really know what they’re talking about.

It’s not so much that anyone thinks they’re “evil” in and of themselves — but any dog, even a teacup toy poodle or a chihuahua, can be made mean.
Pits and Rotis are very strong with the capability to do a lot of damage when they do attack, though — and they seem to appeal to the kind of people who like to train their dogs to attack, sadly. These are the last people in the world who should be allowed to have these dogs — but there’s no way to control that. And so people try to control the breed.

I have a soon to be three year old Cockapoo and I got him when he was around two months old. Ringo is a sweet little dog until you get near him when he is eating then he turns evil and I do mean evil. He has been like that since he came to us. The only thing that I can figure out is he had to fight for his food when he was at this other persons house I don’t know. I have been around Pits and Rottweilers that were sweet. Not all of these type of dogs are evil.I believe that it’s the way they are raised by the ones that have owned them.

I don’t mind Rottweillers but hate pit bulls.
The reason is simple. Pitbulls are still used to kill other dogs in the pit and mentally that’s what they are programmed to do.
It is fact that they are the number one killers of humans ( usally children) and number one killers of dogs on this planet. Why would anyone want a dog like that as a pet. May as well keep a crocodile.

The dogs themselves are not evil.
If a Pitt or Rottie has a bad moment, it can seriously maim or kill someone.
If a shih tzu has a bad moment, you will have a scratch or minor bite that probably won’t even require stitches.

You may think the shih tzu is more evil, but the truth is, the Shih Tzu does not have the MOUTH to do the most damage. It’s about mouth size. It’s that simple. It doesn’t matter what kind of temperment, the bigger dogs and the dogs with the strongest jaws will always be able to inflict worse wounds than the smaller dogs. That’s just common sense! I know I will get the thumbs down a lot for this answer, but really, how can anyone deny that a shih tzu and a Rottweiler, with the same amount of aggression, are going to be able to take their mouth and bite the same size chunk out of someone’s arm?
A Shih Tzu might be able to take out a chunk, but common sense tells us that chunk will be smaller because the mouth is smaller. It’s about mouth power.

I have owned and bred large breed, “vicious” dogs.
I own a rottie, and have owned and bred ridgebacks, pits, staffies, and countless others.
NONE of my dogs were ever vicious, and NEVER attacked a person or other dog, other than to defend itself. and this has happened when a stray or loose dog would roam in our yard, or when someone decided to try and break into our house.
My ridgeback was the most loyal, loving dog you could ever have. and I can honestly say so is my rottie.
I am offended when I hear people like what’shisface about pits being evil, and they should all be killed.
**People who believe this statement need to be educated, badly!
**it is not the dog, but the owner who needs to be put down, if the reason they got the dog is because it’s mean, and that’s what they want.
most people get these dogs before they realize what they have gotten themselves into, do not educate themselves, nor take the time to train their dogs. they allow them to roam, think that keeping them chained up is responsible, etc.
they do not exercise them or train them. this results in an aggressive dog, with no outlet. and I was never bitten by any of my so called vicious dogs. but I was bit by a lab and a golden retriever. so a vicious dog comes in all sizes and breeds. and a vicious dog is the result of an ignorant owner.
** do people actually know that rotties were originally CATTLE DOGS? NOT FIGHTING DOGS as people perceive? if you didn’t know, well, now you do!
the one thing I want to say is:
PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU GET A DOG! PLEASE READ UP, TALK TO BREEDERS AND DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GET A LARGE BREED DOG OR ONE THAT REQUIRES EXPERIENCE AND LOTS OF ATTENTION!
THANK YOU
